A veteran comic of almost 30 years born in Baltimore, MD., Rickey Shackleford began captivating people with his unique style of comedy and sense of humor in Seattle, Washington. His specialty is improvisation and audience participation. He is best known in Baltimore as "The Godfather of Comedy". Here in his hometown of Baltimore, MD, Rickey has helped to mentor and groom many new and upcoming comedians. Rickey Shackleford prides himself on his professionalism and his performance, being adaptable to audiences of all ages in mainstream and elsewhere. He has headlined for the USO Tour in 2002 in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan for our troops. He headlines annually in Las Vegas at the Edgewater Casino and Resort, and performed live in Ocean City, MD at the Princess Royale Hotel and Resort from 2006 through 2010 three shows per night, six nights per week! Rickey completed a two week tour May 31, 2012 through June 10, 2012. He performed in Idaho at the Varsity Pub, in Oregon at Three Rivers Casino and Resort, and in Washington at Jack Didley's Comedy Club owned by Don Barnhart. Throughout the years he has performed at many comedy clubs such as The Comedy Factory in Baltimore, MD, Sully's Comedy Cellar in Parkville, MD, Magooby's Joke House in Timonium, MD, The Comedy Zone in NC, Entertainment Max, The Comedy Blast in PA, and The Improv in PA, just to name a few. A seasoned comedian, Rickey loves to see people laugh. He has worked with many entertainers, such as Patti Labelle, The O'Jays, Kid n Play, Tommy Davidson, Reginald Ballard, Comedian Hamburger, Monique, and many, many more. Not only has Rickey brought smiles to thousands of faces all over the world, he proudly served in the armed forces from 1981-1984.
