Reena Calm & Friends

Reena Calm & Friends

with Kayley Horton and Ed Towns

Reena Calm is happy to be here! Reena was raised in the suburbs of Massachusetts, and many mental health facilities in the greater Boston area. Obsessed with comedy, she moved to Chicago and made a name for herself as a favorite in one of the greatest comedy cities in the world. Reena is a regular on all the best stages in Chicago and was a teacher at the legendary Second City. She quickly became one of the most respected and requested comedians in the Midwest, and is now a nationally touring headliner. Reena is a wordsmith whose material is autobiographical, silly, and charmingly inappropriate, pulling from a lifetime of questionable choices.

Speaking of questionable choices, she's one of the only women in the U.S. to ever be a full-time road comic. Traveling around the country in a converted minivan, this pun-slinger has made audiences laugh in ALL 50 States! Full of wild tales from the road, Reena's debut album "CALMEDY" was #1 on the comedy charts, and can be heard on Sirius XM. Reena has featured at Limestone, RiOT LA, Flyover, High Plains and so many cool festivals. Shes been a guest on multiple episodes of the Doug Loves Movies podcast, and was a Comic of The Week on The Jackie & Laurie Show. She's opened for comedy icons like Arsenio Hall, Maria Bamford, Eddie Pepitone, Laurie Kilmartin, Doug Benson and many more. Check out her book "Once A Pun A Time...Legend of a Sighs Queen" on Amazon. Reena's been called "a one-woman punk band of a comedian" by Jeff Bailey, "everything comedy should be" by Sam Tallent, one of "the best independent comics in the country" by Clearwater Comedy, and "terrific!" by the Chicago Tribune. She hopes to see you at a show in your town soon, and would love to sleep in your finest parking lot. Follow her on Instagram to ride along on her travels @ReenaCalm #ViewnitedStates

Kayley Horton

Kayley Horton is a larger-than-life comedian whose bombastic personality enraptures audiences everywhere. Her dark sense of humor is offset by the audacity of her electrifying stage presence. She has performed all over the midwest and frequents clubs like The Laugh Factory, Second City, and Zanies. She produces several shows around Chicago including interning for Comedians You Should Know. You can find her on the internet @kayleydrinksmilk

Ed Towns

Ed Towns has a real love and passion for comedy. Throughout his life, he's always admired true professionals with a gift for invoking their ideas to a crowd through humor. This was never a reality for Ed until his high school english teacher, comedian and mentor Bill Gorgo opened his eyes during a class about stand-up comedy. It took several years but Ed's courage finally came to the forefront and he hit the stage for the first time and instantly fell in love. Now Ed entertains and makes people laugh with his cynically honest views on relationships, current events and his family. Nothing is off limits as audiences get a peak into Ed's life and all the hilarity it ensues. Ed has opened for the likes of Chris Redd (SNL) Felonius Munk ( ABC For Life) and Josh Johnson (The Daily Show). Ed now is a producer of Comedians You Should Know, a 15 year staple in the Chicago Comedy scene as well as Blackout diaries which can be heard on Patton Oswald’s podcast network.
